Trompe L’Oeil blends cabaret, queer theatre, and circus with the trompe l’oeil illusionary art form, all the while pushing lyrical structure in what seem impossible directions – songs that double as anagrams, acrostics or lipograms exemplify an unprecedented linguistic dexterity.
